Problem space

Organisations accumulate vast collections of documents, datasets, spatial files and structured records across decades — typically spread across disconnected storage systems, in mixed formats, with inconsistent metadata and no unified way to search or govern them. As AI tools mature, the opportunity to extract value from this data is significant, but most organisations lack the integration infrastructure to make that possible safely and reliably.

⚡ Mixed-format data at scale

Thousands of documents, spreadsheets, spatial files and images with no common structure or catalogue

🔍 No unified search

Staff can't find what they need across silos; natural-language querying across the full data estate can be ineffective without AI integration

🔗 AI without grounding produces unreliable answers

Large language model (LLM) responses relevance and accuracy varies greatly when there is no Knowledge Graph providing factual context about your specific domain

🔄 Lock-in risk

Proprietary AI platforms bind you to a single model provider, preventing adoption of better tools as they emerge

🔒 Data sovereignty concerns

Sending sensitive organisational data to external AI services creates privacy, sovereignty and compliance risks

Knowledge Graphs as the key to trustworthy AI

Knowledge Graphs are the secret behind the most reliable search and AI products. In the generative AI era, a domain Knowledge Graph provides the factual grounding that gives you confidence in the answers you receive — connecting AI outputs directly to your own authoritative data.

Why Bower

Built different

🔗 Knowledge Graph Grounded

AI answers grounded in factual, structured data — not hallucinations. See the specific words and phrases from source documents cited as evidence for every claim.

🔍 Structured + Unstructured

Search across PDFs, databases, emails, and spatial data — seamlessly integrated into a single Knowledge Graph with 360° visibility.

🔄 No Lock-In

Swap AI and ML models freely. Your data is the asset, not the vendor. Knowledge Graphs are inherently interoperable.

⚡ Sub-Second Vector Search

Phrase search across terabytes using best-of-breed RAG infrastructure and vector search algorithms.

🔒 Data Sovereignty

Your data stays in Australia (or your chosen region). Never used to train LLMs. Deploy on-premises or in your preferred cloud region. Compliant with Australian Government hosting requirements.

Architecture

Three components, one platform

Bower uses workflows to process documents, images, and data files with selected AI tools — preserving detailed provenance for traceability.

01 · Ingest & Transform

ETL Pipeline

Orchestrates data ingestion and AI processing, storing results and full provenance for traceability.

  • Integrates with upstream AI services
  • Customisable per deployment
  • Structured and unstructured sources

02 · Knowledge Graph

Graph Store

Standards-compliant domain graph that curates high-value context for accurate, grounded AI responses.

  • Catalogue + database in one
  • Processing provenance tracking
  • Reference data for AI guidance

03 · Search & Discovery

Interface Layer

AI-centric interfaces that run standalone or embed into your existing tools — desktop, web, or GIS.

  • AI chat interface
  • Spatial data visualisation
  • Embeddable in existing platforms

In Action

From raw document to actionable insight

Bower ingests unstructured documents, extracts domain entities with full positional provenance, then fires rule-based processing to score, tag, and route findings automatically.

RC22-047_Pilbara_field_log.pdf

RC Drilling Report — Pilbara Craton, Western Australia

Hole ID: RC22-047  ·  Collar: 550340mE / 7652110mN (MGA94 z50)  ·  Logged: J. Hargreaves  ·  2022-08-14

Hole RC22-047 was drilled to a final depth of 312 m at an azimuth of 270° / −60° from surface collar within the Marble Bar Greenstone Belt. Geology was logged against GSWA lithocode standards throughout.

Anomalous chalcopyrite and bornite mineralisation intersected within a strongly silicified shear zone at 187–204 m, hosted in felsic volcanics — consistent with a VMS-style structural setting.

The mafic schist unit between 145–183 m shows pervasive foliation trending 340°/72°W, with minor pyrite stringers along cleavage planes. Samples submitted to Intertek Genalysis, Perth for Cu, Au, and Ag multi-element suite.

1

Ingest & Extract

Raw documents — PDFs, field logs, reports — are ingested and domain entities are automatically identified with their exact position on each page.

2

Build the Graph

Extracted entities (minerals, locations, measurements, structures) are linked into a standards-compliant Knowledge Graph with full source provenance.

3

Fire Rules

Domain rules match against extracted entities — scoring, tagging, and routing findings. Think fraud detection, anomaly flagging, compliance checks.

4

Trace Every Claim

Every result links back to the exact words on the exact page of the source document. Full evidence chain — no black boxes.

Case Study

Bower in the Resources Sector

In 2024–2025, we deployed Bower for a large international mining company — processing their entire document and spatial data library into a searchable, AI-powered Knowledge Graph.

1000s
Mixed datasets processed including spatial data files with automatic extent extraction
~500K
Domain documents ingested — text extracted for chat, images for specialised processing
ArcGIS
Embedded UI deployed inside ESRI's ArcGIS Online — also supports OpenLayers, open-source, and standalone catalogue options
